Topic: Prisoners during the 1911 Revolution

Action: Five men seated on the ground are tied to a same post by the hands. Some may have short hair. They wear working-class winter clothing. The setting is a wood-paneled room with straw on the ground: a stable? A sign above the second man from the right reads ‘21T60’.

Image Particulars: The 1911 revolution was particularly bloody in Hankou which was captured from the Revolutionaries by the Imperialist troops. Cutting off one’s queue was an act of rebellion.
